Chronos Rules The Physical Realm

Gods are archetypes. In the same way that words are containers for meaning and nothing more, the concept of God or gods are containers for concepts or a concept. This in no way removes their power, since everything that has been perceived or invented here comes from a concept.

Math is universal, but the languages math uses to be explained change. The number 1 exists but is spoken one, uno, or by many other names. Archetypes are real but the names of these archetypes change in different locations and cultures. If you absolutize the name you use for god, then you are missing the point. This is no different than insisting that 1 is only the value of 1 if it is spoken in your language. This notion is based in ego, and it is why whenever someone says the word "god" to me I ask "which one?".

Chronos, the Greek god of time is an archetype that shows itself in many places. The grim reaper, father time, and even Santa Claus. I also see it in modern mythology through Dr. Manhattan (The Watchmen). The Roman god Saturn is where Saturnalia comes from. This was the holiday that was eventually changed to Christmas. Saturn is still worshiped everywhere you see a black cube (graduation, Mecca, etc), or the black robe (on every judge). Rings are also Saturn symbols because the planets are tied to gods. The Saturn archetype seems to find itself expressed everywhere you look. 

One place I see some of the most obvious Saturn archetype references is in the god of the Old Testament. I was raised Christian and was never okay with the god of the Old Testament, but according to Christians he knows your thoughts and I always thought being an all-powerful deity that needs blood sacrifice and worship with the threat of eternal damnation was a problem. 

In Greek mythology Chronos is where we get the word chronological time. The Greek god eats his children and in Christian mythology the god of the Old Testament kills his child as a blood sacrifice to allow ascendance into heaven. The concept of heaven is a good place but also a place that is not ruled by time, meaning no death.

All archetypes, like everything else have a positive and negative side, even if one aspect is dominant. In other words, your right hand still has a left side. I could write a book about why worshiping these types of archetypes is a problem but the point of this blog is to draw attention to the concept of time as an archetype. We know that there are at least two levels of existence happening simultaneously: what is inside your head and what is outside your head. Both are subject to time and time operates in cycles. Know the cycles and you will know the time and if you know the time and submit to it you will survive because Chronos rules the physical realm.

For physical health, paying attention to light cycles is essential. Light cycles are the tools that Chronos uses to rule. If you submit you will live but if you deny these natural cycles you will get consumed by Chronos. Similarly, it is important for us to tune into other cycles that are all around us. I have made a case that the most important cycle to be aware of is the natural cycle of the magnetosphere that is currently at a very low point. If you think of cycles as sin wave patterns, we are currently in the trough of the earth's magnetic cycle. Knowing this cycle allows you to see why the world is in the state it is in, where we came from, and where we are going.

 There are cycles within cycles within cycles. You must stop and tune into the cycles that are inside your body and outside your body. Once you see exactly what time it is, you will have to accept this or be eaten by Chronos (or be hung on a cross). Humbled by time while knowing that the timeless part of you that is not physical and therefore not ruled by Chronos. This part is simply waiting patiently, learning while it sits in the prison cell of the body.

Patience is the only way to truly overthrow Chronos. You cannot defeat Chronos while residing in a physical body. So just wait; there will be a time when you look back on this moment. Maybe you will see the positive or the negative side of it all, but either way it will be seen as a marker in time; a memory. Memory can be lost from consciousness, but memories still follow us like something that has left your vision but is still there, lingering in your midst.
