The Question - Who am I? is one that is rarely asked. In the same way that the question of what to eat should be determined by the where and the when (Food Talk 1) our brains are constantly reconstructing our working identity. Instead of asking Who am I? The better question is Who am I now?
All nature can only be understood in terms of opposing cycles originating from the combination of the forces or magnetism and electricity. We humans are one form of natures expression. We can not separate the self from it self no matter how much try.
At different times in my life I have been weak, I have been foolish, desperate , scared, addicted. So I ask not who am I but who am I now?
Now I am the over comer of obstacles.
The process of neurological change is one of incremental shifts over a gradual period of time as aggressive shifts tend to be traumas that the biology has to work very hard to adapt to fast. If it succeeds you will change fast but if you over whelm it you will fall back into the preconditioned pattern. I am constantly pushing the boundaries of change. At different times in my life I have believed what other have told me. Guard your thoughts.
I will put it this way - If you have a child that lies to you do not call them a liar instead call them honest and then question why they are not acting in accordance with their identity as an honest person. This causes the question who am I, children are developing their identities so being called a liar can become entrenched in their identity and what do liars do?...they lie. If the child is called honest then the act of lying is in conflict to the identity as an honest person. What do honest people do? they tell the truth so being established as honest the act of lying becomes strange and unnecessary as opposed to a byproduct of an identification with lying.
Now go back to your child hood. Who were you told that you were? How has that affected your development?
If you want a person to act like a leader follow them, If you want a person to be strong give them opportunities to be strong, if you want your man to be a bad ass tell him he is a badass. If you call him weak he will be weak.
The difference between a crazy person and a brilliant leader is the first follower who both shows the person that he is a leader simply by having a person follow him and also encourages others to follow. Be smart when yopu interact with others. Most people contain the potential to either be a person overcome by obstacles or an overcomer of obstacles. The obstacles don't change who you were doesn't change but the question who am I now? that answer can change. I was a victim now I am a victor and me being a victim was just motivation for me to learn how to be a victor.
Suspend Your Disbelief.
Then start to walk a new path. This new path takes time but it is far better to be a person building a new road than someone racing forward on a road that leads to shame and guilt which are the two most negative emotions.
If you can overcome your own shame and guilt I belief that you can over come any other negative aspect of yourself. Maybe you were those things and now you are the one who has overcome those things. Maybe the story that is your life has the potential to be an amazing synergistic journey. Redefine your identity and your actions will follow.
When you talk to other build trust and empower them to be the best versions of themselves. your communities ideas about themselves is made up of the identifications you give them. Take responsibility not just for yourself (which is a difficult task) but for those around you. Show them their potential instead of their failures. Give others the opportunity to be the best versions of themselves and they will both become better but also value you as person that brings others up. The more negativity you put on a person the less likely they are to become better so now you become a participant in their negative expression.

I am not who I was.
Ok after Neurogenesis Vs Depression Series and my Self love post in the My Thoughts blog I'm gonna try and lighten things up a bit.....that was intense. Still processing it all.
On to my worm bin.
Why did I build a worm bin?
I hated throwing away my compost. You see I eat really good food. Its a priority for me and I know that my "waste" will make great food in the future. And there it is right away we jump into the circle of life type stuff. Imagine the lion king song in the back ground.
You see in modern life we are so separate from nature. I was asked by a friend today what I think about alchemy. The idea of the mystic being able to turn lead into gold is what he was referring to all I could think about was my worm bin. You see all nature does is alchemy. It turns shit into gold and back again over and over again and it is fun and we are a part of it.
My worms are gonna eat my really high quality waste and turn it into the best soil and I'm gonna grow food in it. Seeing these simple little nature pieces of gold has made life so alive so different from the anti bacterial spray on the kitchen counter top. The more separate we are from nature the easier it is for us to try to pick one part of the process of life/desath and make it the only process, this is because we don't all have worm bins. Every step of the process is important and not more important than another even if it is higher up on the natures priority list. The little things matter and guess what the big things matter too. You see I needed those worms and they needed me we are cooperating but at the same time we are competing. I'm gonna see how much they can eat and they are gonna see if they can escape my bin or see if they can eat faster than I can add to the bin. Then the game is who eats more and then you see that we are made of the same stuff. Fun diner guests to have for a person who often eats alone. Already I have started to think how happy I am to give my worms good stuff. Of coarse this is an easy way to decide what to eat as junk food would not make good soil. So worms are alchemists and in a way so am I because I am participating in the alchemist process of nature which the closer I look at it is becoming more and more magical. How much we want to improve what is a perfect system. A self regulating system.
I was learning about the brain and neuro genesis you see there is a mechanism called synaptic pruning If you payed attention to the neuro Genesis Vs Depression series you'll see the analogy between the brain and a tree. What your brain removes is as important as what it keeps, how does it know what to get rid off... the thing you wanna forget..no, the thing the makes you sad ...no , the thing you wish you could forget ...no. It gets rid of the stuff that doesn't get used or thought about. The synaptic pruner is just a gardener not a judge and he is a def gardener so he just watches to see what you branches you climb on the most and makes sure to let those grow and gets rid of the rest. So if you had a positive thought 1 time for every 10 negative thoughts chances are that 1 happy thought isn't making the cut so to speak. That is why it is so important to go big when you go positive. Really have the battle within yourself. Force your self to spend time on the branches you don't want to get pruned off.
Plus sleep (Here is a link to The Archive with a ton of how to sleep info) before you fall asleep you enter a theta brain state where you are not awake and not sleep. This when imagination comes in. Let your brain play but make sure it is playing with the safest toys like positive what ifs instead of dread thoughts about the world ending. Instead what if tonight in my sleep my subconscious mind can solve any problem that my conscious mind hasn't been able to solve.
And that's why you should get a worm bin. haha getting off track. Sorry clearly the neuro posts are still on my brain.
The worm bin is a simple way to eat better, to be more conscious of your waste and to participate in the alchmical process of nature. Realize that if done properly your negative thoughts can be pruned from your mind and made into the best soil or new healthy thoughts.
As far as the bin itself it is very simple to make one of these. Get 2 bins and drill some holes. I got my worms from Uncle Jims Worm farm online and they made the voyage just fine. I think this would be very fun for kids as well as adults and it makes me start thinking about getting some other small animal to participate like a turtle or something. That is the next thing to look into for me I guess. What my "turtle taught me about my brain" would be a good blog post....The shell, so much there already.
I hope to grow something with my amazing worm shit soil and once my worm friends get to living and I'll blog about that.
Remember when you were a kid in theta brain. Remember that imagination was all you needed to entertain yourself. Go there again but as a conscious person. The young don't appreciate their innocence and the old don't appreciate their wisdom. Both long for the opposite so go back with your wisdom and play with you imagination. Grow worms.

Teleomer length is a window into your health age as opposed to your time age. Today I ordered my test to see my telomeres. It will take me a while to get the test, submit it and get the results back but it will be very interesting to see. I'm sure in the past this age would have been stacked very far in the negative. I wish I would have gotten this done before I go a magnetico sleep pad and started my current health protocols. It will still give me info on how I'm doing.
If it comes back negative I will be motivated to keep doing all the healthy protocols I'm doing and if it comes back good I'll be able to see how well the things I'm doing are working. I will have a base line so that I can take the same test this time next year and see my progress. I'll let you know the results once this comes back.
